WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! THank you very much,,,, I'll enjoy the earrings immensely ... :banged: The Raingarden gift certificate will certainly find good use. I need to show you the 'whole' pic that that was drawn from:

The subject fish is one of our baby orandas and is probably about 1.5" long. They really are cute at this age; flitting around the tanks. I was kidding before the contest and saying no one could beat me...

.... I really was only kidding as I didn't think that pic was good enough to win, I was just trying to get more people to enter .... Thank you all for disagreeing with me!!!!

Oh wow! Thanks so much to those of you who voted for my sweet old boy Mr. Tailer. He was a hand me down Ryukin that my Niece had me look after while she was relocating last summer. Over the months we became best buddies and when she saw how well he was doing with me and how much a loved him, she said he could be mine

Those who knew him know how special he was to me. Jilly was to be his Christmas present but life goes on. And here your choice allows his happy face to live on - so touched thank you all.

Personally, I think all the fish entered were gorgeous and the voting was extremely difficult! They are all winners in my book!

Awww, THANK YOU everybody for voting for our Goldies : left to right: Humphrey, Matilda, Hepsiba and Sippy.

I also want to say: ALL photos submitted show beautiful little fishies and they all deserve a HIP, HIP, HOORAY.

When we first started with fish keeping, it was Humphrey and Hepsiba who swam into our hearts straight away. We didn't know much about keeping fish as pets, bar that they need a tank and water and some plants.... it was a very steep learning curve ever since, and we are grateful for those forums and the lovely people on here.
So Humphrey and Hepsiba accompanied us in our learning and trying to do everything right... sure they had some days thinking: "What is she doing?" "Hope this discomfort will stop and she's getting it right, well she must love us... let us go through this, we will be right soon...."
And I am thinking, hopefully my fishies didn't suffer too much with me not knowing about the nitrogen cycle, waterquality, and all those things to make fishies life happy from the start.
They hung in there my sweet darlings, tiny sweet 6 cm or 2 1/5 inch small and went through thick and thinn with me... A few months later they got company, Skippy, Matilda and Sunshine. Sunshine passed in February this year ( due to unknown illness ) and swims now under the Rainbow Bridge... we all including the fishies cryed for weeks...
Now they are grown up, healthy, happy, crazy, loving, horny Goldfish, surprizing me with their eggs every 3 weeks, turning the tank upside down for 10 hours or so to be the sweetest innocent angels after they finnish their race,

. And I believe those 4 developed such a strong bond together as they hardly ever are on different places in the tank. Most times together, not always lined up like this, but fairly often watching me what I'm doing.
