Hallelujah...aka Hal the Baby Bubble!

Hello all!
I would like to introduce you to my newest family member...Hal (aka Hallelujah the Christmas Miracle) was spotted in my tank of bubbles. We found the little guy on 12/23/11.

He (or she I suppose) was no longer than my pinky nail. Right now, he has already grown and is loving life! We have him in a mesh breeder in the main tank and giving him lots of love and food!

We don't know who the parents are and my boyfriend is convinced they need to go on Murray to find out with a paternity test. Because they all have such rounded bodies because of their breed SO we are at a loss!

No matter--we love the little guy and loving being "parents."

He/she looks now like our comet fry, same colouring... this will change though, but I just know this wonderfull feeling raising a new life. ENJOY IT.

Doesn't look like the bubbles are there...so will be exciting to see when those develop.

Sooo....our apple snails got into the breeder and weighed it down---letting Hal out. We've been looking for him since Monday What are our chances of finding him or him surviving? We have a 70 gallon tank with not too many places to hide. I cleaned the tank yesterday and watch to make sure I didn't suck him up and he wasn't in the filter. He is fast in the adults are very slow because of their bubbles so I don't think he could have gotten eaten. Do you have any ideas??? I'm trying to not give up hope

If it's meant to be, he'll appear. Just look for him everyday.  I'm sorry he got out!

What do you think our chances are that he will show up again alive? it tears me up to think that we list him all because of some snails! He was our Christmas miracle...

Well he survived as an egg where it would have been easy for him to have gotten eaten by the fish or snails.... then as a fresh little fry..... I think there is a chance you will find him, or that he just survives in the tank without your help.  He IS after all a Christmas Miracle!

Keep an eye pealed and keep us updated!!
