How Many Goldies Per Gallon in Your Tank?
« on: April 28, 2010, 05:42:48 AM »
An outdoor pond can take a little more overstocking abuse than our indoor aquariums.  So this is a question strictly for indoor tanks/aquariums.

When you answer, answer how you stock now, not how you may have stocked in the past.  If you know you are overstocked, you can elaborate - maybe you acquired a rescue, maybe you're "fish sitting", maybe you couldn't pass up on a great deal but have a new tank on it's way, etc...  ;-)

I got a good deal on a 35 gallon, which fits into my room with no problem.

I've got 2 goldies and 1 bulldog pleco in there.

I try to keep my adult fancies in atleast 20gallons perfish and 50g for my adult common types when they have to come inside. Out in the pond they all have about 80gallons perfish. The moore room they have the easier they are to take care of.

I don't have much space in my current place, so I just have a 28g and 2 goldies. I know they will eventually outgrow this, and I do plan to upgrade at some point as we won't be living in a 1 bdrm apt for too long. Hopefully somewhere that I can have a yard and a pond for summer :)

Have a new young goldie (Jillyfish) in the 10gallon QT. She will be moving into a nice 27gallon cube tank once it is cycled.
