my goldies have spawned for the 3 time this year and this is the big one.

I fished out the fry today and have 1043, the other spawns have been around 3-4 hundred I sold all of the others except 10 which I will use for breeding. I just love watching them grow and see what colors I get. Here are pictures of the parents.

That's a lot of babies to count !! So did they just hatch in the parents' tank?!   
Please share what kind of set-up you have to raise them to selling size, do you have a LFS that takes them or do you sell them online?

I put the two males the first two pictures are the males and the calico is the female in a 75 gallon tank I have outside once they spawn they go  back into the pond then I let the eggs hatched then fish them out with a shrimp net and bring them into the fish room which is my garage I converted into a fish room and put them into grow out tubs, once big enough I start culling and then seperate into various tanks based on how good each one looks. I do not destroy the bad ones, I have 5 ponds out in my  garden and one pond is my speacial needs pond where all the handicapped ones go. I also have 3 large tanks in the house and around 50 tanks in garage in addtion to the tubs I use. I raise bettas also. I sell the bettas on auqua bid and do well with them on aqua bid. The goldies I list on craigslist and also aqua bid and word of my mouth I have been doing this for many years I am 43 and devote all my time to my hobby. Most think I am crazy but I just love my fish and take very good care of them. It all started when I had to quite my job to take care of my parents so I moved them in with me and it took off from there. My parents also love the hobby but they are disabled so they are limited on how much they can do but they love it also. My mom worries about them weather or not they are doing ok. It keeps my mom and dad busy so they dont have to sit around with nothing to do. My mom cant do much she is on oxygen 24hours aday so she more or less just watches them she only has 3 precent of her heart that works she had a heart attack and my dad has cancer so I think its good therapy for all of us. I normally dont sell to the local LFS store because they have no idea what they are doing. I sell them on my own and do well with it. Now that said I dont think of this as a business its a hobby so I dont price my fish high I let the fish sell themself I fell that is fair to all the buyer, the fish and me. LOL, I got my stock from thialand it started with 3 orandas and two male bettas and one female about 14 years ago and now look at me--lol, I guess I my be crazy but I am having funn and loving life. If any of you guys are ever in orlando let me know and you can stop by see my sit up and see the gardens with the ponds.

It sounds like HEAVEN to me!   Nope, we don't think you are crazy at all here at AP!  You have def. joined the right forum!   I would love to see some pics if you ever get a chance to take any, of your set ups and ponds!!!!

I KNEW your username sounded familiar!  I think I have seen some of your stock on Aquabid before.  I purchased one of my bettas from there and I always browse every once in a while to see what people are selling.
