goldie colour changes

I'd like to eventually have a tank with a mix of goldies.... different colours for 'visual impact and interest'

How can you tell which fish could turn lemon yellow as they age (I like getting them as babies, just to make things more complicated!). Funny... they say yellow is genetically the most common colour... but good luck finding them!! :D

Honestly, they only way you can tell what colors they may be is to know what the parents look like and even then, it is not for certain.  The best way would be to buy from a good breeder who knows which fry came from which fish.  Let them know what color you are wanting in the fish you purchase.  Steve from RainGarden is a good guy to purchase from.
