Bamboo Shrimp
« on: November 19, 2009, 10:27:41 PM »
I had 4 cories in my tank, and if you know cories, they swim everywhere regardless of whats in their way.
I also had a bamboo shrimp in my tank. He would set up shop in a specific place, spread his fans, and begin collecting food. I would always notice the occasional cory bumping into him and running him over, but I figured it was fine since it only happened rarely and it wasnt on purpose.

I came into my room one day to notice a bump on my albino cories head. The bamboo shrimp had freaked out and impaled him wih the needle sharp spike on the end of his leg. :(
It got pretty bad and he eventually died despite efforts to save him.
Needless to say, Im done with bamboo shrimp.

Just thought others considering buying these guys should consider them a possible threat!
