Rules - Please Read

October 2009 - WE ARE NO LONGER RUNNING A TROPICAL PHOTO CONTEST.

Our contests will run from the 1st of one month, to the end of the second month.  A poll will be set up for users to vote (one vote per person per contest) for their favorite on the 15th day of the second month.  (dates may vary depending on contestant number) The voting period is 15 days. The winner will be announced within 3 days at the end of each voting period both by email and in this forum.

No contest will be ran until at least 10 entrants per category have been entered.

RULES  

1. A member must have a minimum of 35 posts to enter.  No exceptions.

2. One photo per person per contest may be sent to support@aquapuppies.com (don't forget to include your username)

3. Please do not resize your photos off of your digital camera and submit them at the highest resolution on your camera.  The reason for this is to be sure your images will be sharp and clear enough for an end of the year calendar available for purchase by our forum members.  If you cannot retrieve your original image, please submit at the largest size you have available.

4. Most file types are acceptable, including .jpg, .gif, .tiff, .eps, .png, .pdf, etc...

5. DO NOT EMBED THE FILE - Please use "attach" only in your email.

6. Please put "AquaPuppies Photo Contest" in the subject of your email.  If not, you risk having your email deleted.  A confirmation email will be sent to you following reciept of your photo.

7. Only photos that have NOT been posted prior in the forums may be entered.

8. No people in photos please.  Fish only.

9. If you have PS (PhotoShop) skillz, go ahead and isolate your fish if you need to.  This comes in handy if there are people in the photos as well, as we don't want to give away ownership of the contestants.  If we have any question about ownership, we may ask for the original photo as well to be sure it's not stolen off the 'net.  But only if it looks familiar or suspicious.

Prizes

1. Every winner will receive an emblem to place in their signature on the forums:

                          

2. Prizes may be in the form of an online gift certificate or a prize mailed to your home.  It is the responsibility of winners to notify Administration at support@aquapuppies.com after each contest's winner is announced.  

3. Winners must wait one full contest cycle in between contests to enter again. For example:  You win May's contest.  You may not enter June's contest.  You may enter July's contest.
