Feeding growing fry.....
« on: July 20, 2009, 08:23:49 AM »
I've been feeding my little sharks/GF fry 3x per day, with one fast day per week (started the fasting 2 weeks ago).  I'm thinking it's prolly time to cut back to 2x per day.  I've been feeding them frozen tropical blends, but yesterday I introduced soaked Progold pellets for their 3rd feeding.  So, should I do like a tropical blend in the morning, and pellets at night, or are they not old enough to cut back yet?  They are 2-3 months old (I have one that is still quite young, the others are around the same age...otherwise it's the same age, but just unusually small) and 1-2" in length, not including tails.

This baby stuff is new to me.   lol

mine aren't even 2 months old yet, so I can't help you on the 3 months ones, but I feed mine some tropical flakes a couple times a day. Each time a small amount. And once of twice a day a couple of dried mosquito larvae. (we call it "tubifex" in The Netherlands)

And when they were smaller I fed them baby brine shrimp. That made them grow very fast.
