What is your favorite Goldie color? White, black, a combo of red/white, blue? Cast your vote and explain why you chose the one you did!

It was a toss between blue and calico, but I went with calico, it combines all colours!!

. I just think it looks nice on fish, and the patterns are varied. I have to say I love blue orandas though, so blue would be my second fave, but I have yet to see a true blue around here, my Tiny Tim has green/choc on him!

I went with chocolate, even though I don't have any yet! LOL! I once saw a fish on another forum that was a deep chocolate oranda. Its colors seemed to change from deep chocolate to purple and back again. It was amazing!

I have never seen another one like that one for sale anywhere. *( My second would be calico, as Claire said, they contain many colors!

I put in a vote for Blue, but I wish multiple answers were allowed on this one. I am in love with Calicos, Blues, Blacks, & Whites.

I voted Blue because that's the next color i plan on getting along with a panda.

I have always loved calico- the patterns, the blue and red, just the uniqueness of each one. It can just seem hard to find a good type calico in many breeds. I had a black bubble eye (stayed black) for 18 years, he was a cool dude- can't say pretty about a bubble eye! The blues and lavenders/chocolates are nice, but just okay for me. If all else is equal, I like solid white, bronze/green and solid red the least. Seems in trying to balance type with color, I end up with red/whites mostly, which is fine.
(gotta love a calico with a wen whose wen is flesh colored- really does look like a brain then!)

I picked blue because here they are quite the oddity. And I have totally fallen head over heals for the blue/choco bubble eye, Charlie, that I took in. And then there is Claire's Tiny Tim that I have been in love with since I first saw him. But most of my fish have been adopted so they were not really fish of my choice.

But when I do go to pet stores or WM and look into the fish tanks, I usually find myself drawn to fish more for their shape and finnage, not so much by color. And as my luck usually goes if I did ever buy a fish based solely on color it would definately change as the fish grew up........ so my favorite color almost always depends on the type of fish.... I seem to like red capped or blue on orandas, Red/white on ryukin, black on telescopes, calicos for fantails, and as far as any of the dorsalless fish go........ haven't really seen any around here so don't know what I am attracted to there.

my favorite color is Orange, I've always loved the color orange. In fact, my first car was orange, my Dad painted it for me. I love the bright cheery color when I look in the tank!

My favs. are calicos (especially where dark colors are dominant), orange/red and white (where orange is dominant), and chocolate. Why? They look best in planted aquariums of course

That and, hey, who doesn't like chocolate? Yummy!

I voted black because I recently found a black oranda and I think he is amazing but I have to say that I would LOVE to see a true panda in person. I have always admired the look of a panda but have never seen a true panda in person.

I do have to say that I love the look of all white too. Very graceful and flowing. I just learned that my daughters boyfriend's mom has an all white veiltail that has a pink hue to her. I sure would love to see that fish. She puts them in a pond during the summer and brings them in for winter. My daughter says she's huge and her tail is real long. Sounds just beautiful to me.

I picked Black because I'm drawn to black goldies more than any other color when I see them in aquariums. But Calico's run a close second and red and white can be awesome too... Really I just love em all.

Me, too, Lari! However, I tend to like the ones that no one thinks are the "popular" colors. I like the greens, chocolates, rusty-orange, and yes, black, too! I like red/white ones, but you see so many of them that it gets boring after a while for me.

Multi-colored fish come in so many amazing variations! I really appreciate a striking solid gold or black too, but the endless possibilities of mixed colors has to get my vote.
